Recently we created a SharePoint public facing site. Site was launched and Google analytic was also enabled. Then we got into in situation when our client wanted that we do not access the site through browser else Google analytic information will trace our visit. Even though, parallel to this we had to work on the live site and client does not want to change analytic setting to bypass any region.
Then we got a solution that we can use tool provided by Google itself. You need to use it as ad-on to your browser. Once you enable this you can access the site through your browser and your visit will not be tracked in analytic report and control panel.
This is what you will see under Extensions in Chrome browser
Thanks to Google for providing this nice tool. If you want to down this visit this url https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/
If this tool was not available what could have been the approach?
Either you install VPN to access the server or access it through tool like Teamviewer.
Do you suggest any better option.
